Seriously, just how beautiful? Rose Gold is pretty much my new favourite thing... I mean I have always loved it but the recent influx into the fashion industry has set it at the forefront of my mind. The subtle pink tone is the perfect amount of girly, whilst being sophisticated enough for even the classiest ladies! And check those stones... B-E-A-UTIFUL!

I've been lusting after gold socks since the start of summer and I have FINALLY got my mitts on some! They're darker than I'd envisioned but since I've been searching over six months, and they only cost £2.50, it wasn't exactly the moment to be picky! 

Anyway, they look gorge with this dress, which is the perfect winter floral! I think the gold brings out the tiny flecks of yellowy green throughout the dress, which usually just get lost in the pattern. The photo's don't really do it justice, I'm struggling to get the right light consistently. The way my windows are positioned in relativity to the rest of the building means I get about two hours max of natural light, around 11am...

1) It's rare that I'm dressed by 11am.

2) If I do happen to have clothes on by this time, it probably means I'm on my way to Uni.

You can see how this is causing me problems!

I'll keep at it... maybe I can convince Nick to allow me to get those huge photography spotlights! Not likely.

So by now you guys have heard a lot about Ladybug Creations, and seen a little of the 'behind the scenes' but with five days to go to the grand unveiling I though I'd give you all a little treat!

Open Your Eyes, Look Within...

I quite literally haven't taken these boots off since they arrived. After a few days of suffering whilst the top buckle cut into my ankle, they are now so damn comfy! They're the definition of rad. 

I'm currently searching through the depths of my wardrobe for any swath of material that can pass as warm, cosy or thermal. This means tearing up the dregs from last winter in an attempt to find something that can pass as remotely stylish this autumn. I  definitely need to buy more sweaters!

I've had this skirt years, I think it was actually given to me by a friend! I haven't worn it in donkeys but with lipstick kisses making a début on the Giles SS14 catwalk at LWF I decided it was about time to give it an outing! The lip tint I'm wearing is a pretty perfect match too! I love it! 

My fluffy sweater and my cut out boots are fast becoming my Autumn faves. The sweater is so incredibly warm despite the short arms so I don't even have to wear a coat! I kinda hate coats...

Cameo frames, Cats & Chains

eBay is the devil I tell you! 

There I was, all cosied up on the sofa scrolling through my instagram last night, just checking out all the cute handmade jewellery available when I found myself wondering; could I make jewellery? Very recently I bought this gorgeous necklace from Cat Called Esteban Vintage.

I adore the design - the multi layers and how each hanging chain adds extra volume and shape to the piece. The emphasis isn't on the pendant like most modern necklaces, the whole thing is crafted so that each part is as beautiful as the last. I began searching for something similar but with such a vivid picture of what I wanted in my mind I was hard pressed to find it. After a few beverages, naturally I was utterly convinced I could make my dreams a reality. Two hours later my shopping basket is full, my bank balance lighter, and on their way to me are a gorgeous range of cameo frames, chains and cats. Apparently I like cats now... 

Today I figured, since I had the materials on their way, I better begin some form of design process. Here's a little of my inspiration - feast your eyes and let me know what you think!

You might be able to tell I have a slight obsession with Cameo's....

My Great Grandma has the most beautiful collection of brooches, mostly antique, and since childhood I have been thoroughly stunned by the tiny details engrained in each one. To me, they are the epitome of beauty, from the models tumbling curls to their smooth profile; they have always caught my heart. I'd like to be able to recreate something similar in design, to be able to achieve even a fraction of that beauty in my designs is a dream.

Golden Eagle.

I got these trousers around Christmas time last year and was so happy to learn they work perfectly with this seasons trends! The photographs don't show it off as perfectly as I'd like but although the colour seems kind of brownish here, they are a deep, rich burgundy shade. 

This tee was a STEAL! I spotted it in ASDA a couple of months back on my weekly shop for just £8! I love a good bargain!

H&M Mini Jewellery Haul

So my Student Loan finally graced my bank account with it's presence so fittingly, I went on a well deserved mini spree last night. I've been needing some new jewellery for some time now - it's gotten to the point where I'm modifying all my old stuff to give it a new lease of life, (I seriously need to get a job!), so I decided to treat myself to these goodies from H&M. I'm really happy with my choices and it all came to just over £26... Steal!

I've had my eye on this necklace for the past month or so, so I finally picked it up. I'm usually such a sucker for pretty jewellery so this is a fresh change from the norm. I really love the big, chunky chain and the detail in the eagle.

Rings are something I'm really running low on so I decided to make that the focus of my shop. This one is just gorgeous and so glittery! I haven't much silver, I'm more of a gold kinda gal'.

These layering rings are just great, what I really love about them is that they are all different sizes so sit in different positions on my fingers!

When I took this ring from the packaging I found out it was broken in two different places and I was gutted. But after a quick mess around I got over it... I actually prefer it! Because I have horrible little, stubby fingers if it'd had been whole I would have had trouble actually wearing it. Now I can wear them over three fingers and I really like how the now separate rings match.

I love a good statement ring and this definitely ticks that box, it's huge! Although as I say, I do have fat kid hands. 

This wierdly reminds me of the ring from Lord of the Rings. Now, I'm aware it doesn't actually look anything like it. But that's my reasoning for the purchase... go figure!
